A convicted sex offender who absconded from jail has been arrested in Bangor.
Ronan Korby, also known as Lee Watersworth, was on a work placement in Bristol on Friday 31 May and failed to return to HMP Leyhill, an open prison in South Gloucester, where he was serving a sentence for sexual offences.
Korby, 50, was captured on CCTV at Asda supermarket in Rhyl just before 7.30pm on Sunday 2 June, and acting upon information supplied by members of the public, he was arrested in Bangor late on Monday evening.
Inspector Jon Aspinall of North Wales Police, said: “We are grateful to the public of North Wales in helping police detain this wanted person.”
