Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd, a registered charity, is ready for a night to remember this month, with a special Elvis and Friends concert to raise money for the hospital radio station based in Bangor.
Joining the Reverend Wynne ‘Elvis’ Roberts on the 10th May at the Padarn Hotel Llanberis will be Kev Bach, Caliburn, Karen Ann, Derfel Thomas and Vaughan Evans’ Disco. There will also be a special raffle held on the evening, with loads of fantastic prizes donated by local businesses.

As a charity, Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd rely on kind donations and fundraising events to continue this worthwhile service for patients and our wider communities. Everyone involved with the station are volunteers at the station established in 1976.

Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd was named the UK’s ‘Hospital Radio Station of the Year 2022’ by the Hospital Broadcasting Association and also won the ‘Bronze’ award for ‘Digital Station of The Year’ in the 2022 Community Radio Awards.
The station is going from strength to strength – working on special charity programmes to highlight the valuable work of local and national charities. Numerous outside broadcasts supporting fantastic events last year included Bangor Garth Pier Music Festival 2023, North Wales Pride 2023, Relay For Life 2023 and the NHS’ 75th Birthday.
