Fantastic drone images show the excellent progress being made building 38 new apartments on the former Bangor Social Club site on the corner of Deiniol and Farrar Road in Bangor.
Bodelwyddan-based Wynne Construction were awarded the £5.3m contract to build the apartments on behalf of social housing provider Adra.
The new development will feature varied rental options, including a mix of social, intermediate and market rented homes. Plans include 23 two-bedroom and 15 one-bedroom apartments across four storeys. There will also be 38 parking spaces for the residents.
Adra Tai Cyf currently manage over 6,000 affordable rented homes across Gwynedd, 1,221 of these are located within the 8 electoral wards of Bangor. They aim to provide quality, affordable homes and services to tenants and strive to protect and develop the culture and heritage of communities.
The site of the former Bangor Social Club, which closed in 2008 and was demolished in 2013, has been vacant since the social club was demolished.
