Dorothy Perkins and Burton will close their doors in Bangor for the last time today.

The store closure follows that of Dorothy Perkins and Burtons in Rhyl and Dorothy Perkins in Llandudno’s Victoria Centre in 2017.

The Bangor store has gradually been selling off the remaining stock and fixtures and fittings over the last few weeks, after the closure was announced last October.

The women’s clothing store only returned to Bangor in 2015 after a six year absence, and has been sharing a two store unit with the existing Burton.

A handwritten sign in the shop window read: “As you know Dorothy Perkins and Burton have been a huge part of this High Street for a very long time.

“We would like to say thank you to our loyal customers and staff (past and present) who have kept us here all these years.

“Come in on our last day of trade to say goodbye and maybe even find a few bargains.”

The retail unit is now up for sale for £300,000 or to let for £35,000 per year.
