Kiri Pritchard-Mclean, a comedian who was raised on a farm in Anglesey and attended Ysgol Friars in Bangor, is set for a homecoming gig at Pontio on March 15.
Kiri has been making something of a name for herself in the short time she’s been performing stand up comedy and has achieved further success as one fourth of multi-award winning sketch group Gein’s Family Giftshop (in capacity as writer/director).
A unique and assured comic voice Kiri is whip smart with material to match, an apprenticeship on the North West comedy scene equips Kiri with a presence beyond her years and the rare ability to be challenging in her material without alienating her audience.
Appropriate Adult
Appropriate Adult is about Kiri’s voluntary work with vulnerable children, an unlikely subject for comedy but this show is packed with plenty of insights – and laughs.
Kiri thinks the world revolves around her, but she didn’t let that stop her wishing to mentor vulnerable kids. Consequently, she’s going to be extremely careful what she wishes for in future. An immoral comedian’s morality tale about other people’s lack of morals.
