Staff at Dafydd Hardy Estate Agents have launched an appeal for new toys, to give to children in care in Gwynedd this Christmas.
Following the successful Christmas present appeal last year, Dafydd Hardy offices will be collecting donations for children in Gwynedd Social Care again this year.
Staff were overwhelmed with the donations last year and in addition the Theatre staff at Ysbyty Gwynedd raised an incredible £500 towards the cause. It was extremely heart-warming to see how the community came together to support children who may not have received a present on Christmas day.
2021 has again been a difficult year for us all and the upcoming festive season is a time where many of us will seek joy to end the year. Unfortunately for children in the care system, this period will be especially difficult. Did you know a child in care will only receive one small gift this Christmas?
This fact saddened all the staff at Dafydd Hardy, which prompted them to come together in an attempt to help make Christmas day for some of those children slightly more special.
The staff are now collecting new toys for children up to the age of 16 and donating them to Gwynedd Social Care.
A spokesperson at Dafydd Hardy said: “We understand this is a difficult time for many, but if you would like to help by donating a new toy, it would be greatly appreciated. These donations will be hugely valued and could bring the magic of Christmas to those who need a little support.”
Donations will be accepted in any of the offices (Bangor, Caernarfon, Llangefni, Llandudno) until the 13th of December. If you prefer to arrange your donations directly with Gwynedd Social Care, then please call the Dafydd Hardy office on 01248 663333 for more information.
