A Cadbury Secret Santa poster will be appearing in Bangor, allowing people the chance to secretly send free chocolate to someone special.

The posters will be located in bus stops, train stations and on High Streets at over 200 locations across the country this Christmas as part of the confectionary company’s 2022 campaign.

Now in its fifth year, the virtual postal service has stepped up its game this year and is offering 120,000 people the opportunity to send one bar for free. For 2022 the physical pop-ups have been replaced with a virtual postal service, accessed via posters across the country.

So far, Bangor and Cardiff are the only locations confirmed in Wales.

To send a bar, chocolate fans need to keep an eye out for one of the posters, which will be popping up across the country until Christmas Eve.

Those who scan a QR code on the posters will be taken through to an interactive digital experience, where they will be guided through the service by Jeff, the Cadbury postie, who will help them select a bar for their chosen recipient.

Subject to availability, a selection of Cadbury chocolate bars can be gifted, including Cadbury Dairy Milk and a host of flavours including Winter Wonderland, Oreo, Caramel, Wholenut, Fruit & Nut, Mini Snowballs and Vegan Plant bar.

Senior brand manager, Emma Paxton, said: “The rumours are true! Our much-loved Secret Santa ritual is back, and this year, it’s bigger than ever before. At Cadbury, we’re all about encouraging generosity – we believe there’s a glass and a half in everyone – so this year we wanted to make Secret Santa more accessible than ever and to spread that generosity across the nation.

“That’s why from today, you’ll see our postal service popping up on posters across the country, giving 120,000 people the opportunity to send chocolate secretly to a loved one this season.”
