The ‘Varcity Challenge‘ – Bangor‘s Biggest Food Challenge to date – will launch tomorrow evening with 50% of the proceeds being donated to Upper Bangor Greening Society.

The stack of burgers, fish fingers, sausage pate, complete with fries, onion rings, nachos, jalapenos and hot sauce, will be available at the Belle Vue pub in upper Bangor on Thursday, 4 October, and for one night only, if you manage to finish the lot you’ll not only receive a free t-shirt and go down in Belle Vue history, but you’ll also get it all for Free! (Usual cost £17.50)

Even if you don’t quite manage the challenge, half of what you pay goes to the ‘Upper Bangor Greening Society’ – a new initiative to promote and improve the apperance of Upper Bangor. so everyone’s a winner!

The Challenge: 1 x Beef burger, 1 x Veggie burger, 6 x Fish fingers, 1 x Chicken burger, 1 x Slice of bacon, Gherkins, 1 x Sausage Pate, 2 x Cheddar Slices, Potato Waffles and plenty of Fries, Onion Rings, Nachos, Jalapenos and Hot Sauce.

All the food must be consumed within 45 minutes by a single person in order to win the prize of a “Varcity Challenge” T-Shirt and of course the bragging rights in Bangor for demolishing the huge feast.

The challenge will be running this Thursday between 18:00 and 23:00. Spaces are limited so get down early to grab yourself a spot!

The Upper Bangor Greening Society is a new initiative which aims to improve the appearance of upper Bangor, if you would like to know more or be involved an inaugural meeting will be held in the Belle Vue pub on the 17th October at 6pm.
