Next week is Waste Awareness Week, and Gwynedd Council Recycling Team will be visiting residents in Bangor to address any waste problems they may have and to promote recycling
On Tuesday 3rd October, The Sustainability Lab in Bangor, University halls of residence staff and Campus Life Bangor, will be visiting students at St Mary’s Student Village, Lôn Pobty, throughout the morning and will be available to discuss all things ‘waste’ and they will also be visiting the Ffriddoedd residences in the afternoon.
The hope is to address any issues that students may have with recycling in halls, while also educating them about resource efficiency, and sharing ideas for future campaigns.
Gwynedd Council and Bangor University Housing will also be conducting waste visits in the community throughout the day.
On Wednesday 4th October, Keep Wales Tidy will be arranging a litter pick in both University halls of residence during the day, at Friddoedd 10am-12pm and St. Mary’s 1pm-3pm All students are welcome to activate whether they are living in halls or not.
