Bangor University Students’ Union will be holding its first ever De-Stresstival! During October.

The De-Stresstival is a week-long event which aims to give students the opportunity to have some fun and de-stress! It will allow students to take part in exciting activities and have fun, alongside workshops that are designed to be relaxing and promote well-being.

The aim is to raise awareness of mental health

The aim during the week is also to raise awareness of mental health, and to promote the advice and support provision that is available at the Students’ Union.

Activities will include craft sessions, which includes gnome painting, making friendship bracelets and house decorations, as well as henna tattoos.

A fun filled afternoon will be held where students will be able to play games including giant snakes and ladders, twister and skittles. There will also be free pizza for all students as well as Bangor Student Union’s Circus Society, Cirque de Soc, showing you some cool stunts.

The canine calming room returns, which has successfully been used in the past to reduce exam stress, this allows students to de-stress, relax and give a cuddle to 4-legged friends!

Drop-in sessions will also be held where students can speak to an academic case worker about any issues they have been facing, whether they are personal or academic. Student Services are also offering an opportunity to learn mindfulness skills.
