Residents of Maes Berea in Bangor have truly embraced the community spirit of Christmas this year, by collecting for local foodbanks and organising a number of socially distanced events.
Boxes of food were donated to the foodbanks at Coed Mawr and Bangor Cathedral, after residents added extra items to their weekly shop.
A best ‘dressed window’ competition was organised, with the winner receiving a hamper kindly donated by Dunelm. The best house was judged by local Councillor Gareth Roberts, who commented how the whole street had made a great effort to bring some Christmas cheer.
The street was also lit up by a Christmas tree kindly donated by B&Q, a Facebook live event celebrated the occasion, along with live Christmas carols.
