Police officers in Bangor and Caernarfon were yesterday awarded with a commemorative plaque by Sharlotte Jones, as a thank you and sign of gratitude for the help they gave to Sharlotte during a difficult period with her mental health.
The plaque reads: “I will be forever grateful to Caernarfon and Bangor police officer for going above and beyond their duty to help and support me during my mental health breakdown.
“You saved my life on many occasions and I am eternally thankful.”
Sharlotte also added: “The police have always been there when I’ve needed them, and I really do appreciate what they do and what they have done for me for the last four years.”
PC Lisa Thomas added “You are not alone. If you feel as though you are struggling, reach out and speak to someone. You can call the Samaritans at any time on 116 123 (Welsh language line is 0808 164 0123 and is open from 7pm – 11pm every day).
“If you are concerned that yourself or a loved one may harm themselves, please call us on 999. We are here with you and are here to support you.”
