The Award-winning bus based Real Ale Festival returns for the Arfon Real Ale Trail on Saturday 13th April 2019 – with the added bonus there will be a shuttle bus to join the Ale Trail to and from Bangor.

This unique festival will take you and your friends on a journey to find quirky pubs off the beaten track in locations set in spectacular Gwynedd countryside. You will be taken along the coast of the Menai Straits and down towards rugged and beautiful countryside of Northern Gwynedd stopping off at 8 great pubs along the way.
Stopping at Bethesda and Caernarfon, as well as other smaller villages like Llanrug and Carneddi. 8 pubs, are currently signed up for the trail, serving up delicious quality ale, home-cooked food with a warm welcome to boot.
Spend the day visiting hand selected pubs serving locally brewed Real Ale, without worrying who’s driving. Transport is organised between pubs, so you can enjoy the day with friends experiencing new ales in 8 rural pubs (1 with on-site microbrewery) set in the beautiful Gwynedd countryside, where the mountains meet the sea. Shuttle Bus from Bangor
Join the Caernarfon Real Ale Trail from Bangor via shuttle bus. This ticket allows you to hop on a shuttle bus from Bangor Train station to join the Trail. The buses are running in the morning (12pm or 1pm) and in the evening (8pm or 9pm), but spaces are limited and have to be pre-booked.
The pick up in the morning is outside Bangor Train Station and delivers you to the Tafarn y Fic in Y Felinheli. Pick up in the evening is made from Y Sior, Carneddi and you will be dropped off outside the train station in Bangor.
No need to collect your tickets in advance either. They will be handed out to you as you board the shuttle bus. Just bring a form of ID so you can be identified.

Hop on Board!
Transport is organised between pubs so there’s no need for a designated driver to enjoy rural pubs. The Real Ale Trail shuttle buses aim to arrive at each venue every 30 minutes from 12pm to 10pm.
Remember you can hop off and on all day, and start and finish at any time at any venue on the route, so all you need to worry about is where your meeting your friends.
Supporting local Microbreweries
You can find a range of Real Ale from microbreweries across North Wales at the pubs on the Trail.
We are also taking you to Brewpub Snowdonia Parc Pub. Located in Waunfawr, Snowdonia Parc brews up to 10 Real Ales, using the finest malts and hops and brewed using clear Snowdonia water. These Real Ales are exclusively available at the Snowdonia Parc Pub and are winners of CAMRA Pub of the Year for the local region 4 years running from 2012 to 2015.
Other microbreweries in Gwynedd include Purple Moose, Bragdy Lleu, Cwrw Llyn, Cwrw Cader, so there’s plenty of local Real Ales to try.

Tickets allow you to have unlimited travel on Ale Trail buses between 12pm and 10pm.
