A 39-year-old man appeared before a special court in Llandudno on Saturday, charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon after a robbery in Bangor.
The Stop and Shop convenience store on Bangor High Street was raided on Friday afternoon by a man brandishing a knife.
Police were called to the incident and the man was later arrested. It is understood that no-one was injured in the incident.
The man has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Caernarfon Crown Court on 7 May.
