A safety barrier used by Ysgol Ein Harglwyddes – Our lady’s School in Bangor, has been stolen.
The school has appealed for information in an attempt to retrieve the portable safety barrier, which was used to help protect the neighbouring wall and has provided the school with a safety barrier when needed.
A statement from the school said: “Sadly our new barrier that has been used to help protect the neighbouring wall and has provided us with a safety barrier when needed, was stolen with intent, on Sunday afternoon around 5.30pm.
“We have CCTV footage showing a car driving into the car park, reversing up the side path and then loading the barrier into their car, before driving off.
“This has been reported to the police. However, if you happen to see the barrier locally (possibly discarded somewhere) or have seen it been used in the area, maybe at a fireworks display on Sunday evening then please let us know so we can hopefully arrange for it to be returned to school.”
