Bangor University’s Brambell Natural History Museum (Opposite Asda), will be open to the public on Saturday, 4th November, as part of the Welsh Museums Festival.

The theme of the day is ‘Animals in Welsh Mythology’. Using specimens from the Museum as inspiration, workshops on drawing from specimens to create imaginative collages, prints, narrative and illustrations with be held with artist Jwls Williams.

Museums across Wales will be taking part in the festival, celebrating and promoting Wales’ outstanding culture, from 25th October to 5th November 2017.

Over 100 events and exhibitions will be on offer for the whole family from sleepovers, talks, walks, hunts and handling sessions to archaeologist digs, re-enactments, dressing up, tea parties and Halloween themed activities.

The activities in Bangor are suitable for children age 6-12 years old. Two sessions will be held, at 11.00am – 1.00pm for 6-8 years old and 1.30pm– 3.30pm for 9-12 years old.
