Bangor City Stadium has been confirmed as the host venue for the 2025–26 Genero Adran Trophy Final, marking a significant milestone for women’s football in North Wales. The showpiece match, set to kick off on Sunday 22 February 2026 at 5pm, will see Wrexham take on Cardiff City, two of the country’s most exciting women’s sides.

The Genero Adran Trophy is one of Wales’ premier women’s football cup competitions, bringing together clubs from across the top tiers of the Genero Adran Leagues in a knockout battle for national honours. Now in its 12th edition, the competition has played a key role in elevating the profile of the women’s game domestically and offering a platform for standout performances outside of the regular league season.

For Bangor City Stadium, hosting the final is a landmark achievement. While the venue has previously staged three men’s Welsh Cup finals and is set to be used during this summer’s UEFA European Under-19 Championship, this will be the first time the stadium hosts the Genero Adran Trophy final – a testament to the growing recognition of women’s football in the region.

Wrexham earned their spot in the final for the first time following a dominant 6–0 semi-final victory over Briton Ferry Llansawel, featuring a hat-trick from Faye Knox. Opponents Cardiff City – the 2024 trophy winners – sealed their place with a decisive 3–0 win away at holders The New Saints.

The finalists are also locked in a tight battle near the top of the Genero Adran Premier League, separated by just a point in the title race, adding extra intrigue to what should be a thrilling encounter in Bangor.

The final will be broadcast live across multiple platforms including S4C, BBC iPlayer, and YouTube, bringing the excitement of Welsh women’s football to supporters nationwide.
