Community Events

Vertical Dance Kate Lawrence and Pontio presents Lunch on the Fly

Monday 15 August

This is a fun session in which you can have a go at vertical dance. Starting with an easy warm up, you will then try to stand on and jump off a vertical floor using waist harnesses. You will be guided through some simple positions, and then you will fly!

Wear comfortable clothing with snug layers around waist and top of legs.

Age: 16+

An International Kite Flying Festival in Solidarity with the people of Afghanistan

On Saturday 20th August 2022, BLAS, Pontio will the support of Pobl i Bobl will host a very special event. It’ll will be one year since the fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban, and Good Chance has organized an event where people from all around the UK and Europ will remember and preserve Afghan culture through the simple, joyful act of kite flying.

So we invite all the people of Bangor and beyond to bring your kites at 4:30 by the Caban outside Pontio, ready to raise our kites at 4:45
