Two people were taken to hospital following a house fire in Bangor this morning.

 

 

Eight fire engines attended the scene of the blaze on Friars Avenue in Bangor, at 10:40am on Sunday.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the two women were taken to hospital for treatment. Their condition is not yet known.

Properties adjacent to the mid-terraced house have also been affected, the fire service added.

A statement from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, said: “

“North Wales Fire and Rescue Service was called to a report of a fire at an address on Friars Avenue at 10.41hrs this morning.

“Eight fire appliances were mobilised to the incident, together with an aerial ladder platform and an incident command unit. The mid terrace property was well alight on arrival and adjacent properties are also affected.

“All persons have evacuated. Two female casualties are attending hospital for treatment.

“Ambulance and Police also attended and firefighters remain at the scene. Please avoid the area if possible.

“It is too early to determine the cause of the fire.”
