Gwynedd council have been working with retailers and the Church in Wales to tidy up the Glanadda and Tai Station areas of Bangor.

Residents in Tai Station Bangor have seen a clean up by the Council in recent weeks, which is an ongoing project to improve the appearance of the area. Fly-tipping at the old Railway Institute site and the Network Rail property have been reported and are being investigated.

The Church in Wales have also cleared the grounds of the old St David’s Church in Glanadda which looks much better.

Residents at Llys Dewi Sant in Glanadda have also benefited from a clearance of overgrowth behind the Bathstore.

New school signs have been placed near Glanadda school on Caernarfon Road, this follows the new school signs for Our Lady’s School and improved lighting under the railway bridge a few months ago.

Med Hughes, local councillor for Hendre ward in Bangor said: “These are examples of local institutions and retail outlets contributing to the community in which they have a presence and as the local Councillor it pleases me that they have reacted in a positive way to my requests.

“I would also like to thank the Church in Wales for responding to my request to clear the grounds of the old St David’s Church.”
