Storm Bella will bring severe gales and heavy rain on Boxing Day night, with 70mph gales and severe flooding, the Met Office has warned.

 

 

Coastal locations are expected to feel the full ferocity of the winds and further downpours are expected overnight, with damage to buildings, flying debris, severe flooding, and power cuts expected.

Very windy weather is expected for parts of England, Wales and the far south of Scotland, leading to disruption to transport and utilities.

Heavy rain combined with strong winds may lead to some disruption and flooding in places.
