Starbucks is preparing to reopen 150 of its UK stores from this Thursday, 14 May, including the drive-thru at Llandegai in Bangor.

The reopening of the Bangor drive-thru was announced on instagram, the post said: ”We are looking forward to welcoming you back through our Drive Thru from Thursday 14th May.”

Starbucks says it’ll be serving a “near-complete” range of beverages including lattes, cappuccinos, iced coffees, teas and frappuccinos.

But food will be more restricted, with the coffee giant offering a menu “focused on our most popular items”.

A statement from Starbucks said: “In line with the latest government guidance, we’re working to reopen our stores in a safe and responsible way. From 14th May, we’ll begin a phased reopening across Britain, beginning with Drive Thru locations and select takeaway-only stores

“To keep staff safe, new safety measures will be in place including regular hand-washing for at least 20 seconds, two metre social distancing and screens at payment areas. Starbucks will only be accepting contactless payment methods only.”

Starbucks, which has just under 1,000 stores in the UK, announced it would be temporarily closing all shops on 20 March .
