First Minister Mark Drakeford has announced a number of significant changes to the lockdown rules in Wales at the Welsh Government press briefing today (July 31).
He has the go-ahead for the indoor hospitality industry to open indoors from next Monday, although the 2m social distancing rule remains.
Swimming pools, gyms, leisure centres and indoor play areas, including soft play, will also be able to reopen from 10 August.
The First Minister has also announced that from Monday, August 3, up to 30 people will be able to meet outdoors and children under the age of 11 will no longer have to maintain a 2m distance from each other or from adults.
The new rules set to come into force are said to be in line with the latest scientific evidence about lower transmission rates in this age group.
