Local hospital radio station Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd’s presenter Yvonne Gallienne won the bronze award for ‘Female Presenter of the Year’ in the Hospital Broadcasting Association’s National Hospital Radio Awards 2023.
In a prestigious awards ceremony held in Bolton on Saturday night (25th March 2023), Yvonne was awarded the bronze award for her warmth, connection with the patients and interesting interviews on her programme.
Kevin Williams, Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd’s Chairman is delighted with Yvonne’s achievement “I am incredibly proud of Yvonne for winning the bronze award for ‘Female Presenter of the Year’. This is testament to the years of dedication that Yvonne has provided our radio station and the work she puts into her weekly programme on our station.

The Hospital Broadcasting Association is the national charity that supports and promotes Hospital Broadcasting in the UK. There are currently over 170 individual broadcasting hospital radio stations, representing 1000s of volunteers.
Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd has been broadcasting since 1976 and celebrates its 47th this year.
