North Wales Police have issued a dispersal order in Bangor city centre to target groups of youths who are behaving in an antisocial manner.

Police have also appealed to parents in the Bangor area to think very carefully about where their children are this evening.

What Is A Dispersal Order

A Dispersal Order means that the Police can ask a group of two or more people to leave the dispersal area if they are doing anything wrong, or if they believe that they may or are likely to cause a nuisance to someone else.

The Police may ask you to leave the area and not return to it within 24 hours. If you are aged under 16 and in the dispersal area without the supervision of an adult after 9pm, the Police may take you home if it is safe to do so.

If you return to the area after being asked to leave by the Police, you may be arrested.

The Bangor dispersal order will remain in place for the next 24 hours from this evening Sunday 26 until Monday 27 of January.
