North Wales Police are currently investigating a hate-related incident that occurred at Cube nightclub in Bangor on Friday, 25 March.
This appears to be a racially motivated incident and was reported by a member of the public, who had seen a video recording of it on social media.
Officers have since spoken with the victim and have arrested an 18-year-old male suspect.
Sgt Dan Dent said: “I’d like to reassure the public that a full investigation into this matter is currently underway.
“Incidents of this nature are rare in Bangor, but the video footage that was brought to our attention in this report is distressing.
“I would urge anyone else who sees the footage circulated online to report it to the relevant social media company and to request its removal.
“Enquiries into this incident remain ongoing, but I would encourage anyone with further information to report it to North Wales Police.”
