Police have launched an investigation following serious disorder after the Welsh Cup semi-final between Flint Town United and CPD Bangor City 1876.

North Wales Police said officers were called at 3.59pm on Saturday, 7 March to an incident involving a large number of people outside The Nevill pub on Vaughan Street in Llandudno.

Five individuals were subsequently arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including public order offences, assault occasioning actual bodily harm (Section 47 ABH), and assaulting an emergency worker.

Police confirmed the investigation is ongoing, with officers currently reviewing video footage and CCTV from the area.

In a statement, officers said they are aware that footage of the incident has been widely shared on social media and are asking anyone who recorded the disorder to come forward.

Anyone with information or video footage that may assist the investigation is asked to contact North Wales Police via live webchat or by calling 101, quoting reference O035019.

Police have also issued a warning about the risks of sharing speculation online while investigations and potential legal proceedings are ongoing.

They said posting comments, sharing rumours, or identifying individuals involved could prejudice future court proceedings and may amount to contempt of court, which carries penalties including a fine or up to two years in prison.
