Police officers in Bangor have been patrolling pubs and bars with specially trained dogs this weekend.
On Saturday evening, 6 December, members of the Gwynedd North Neighbourhood Policing Team along with a Specialist Dog Unit conducted licensing checks at numerous public houses in the Bangor and Bethesda areas.
Acting on constructive comments made by landlords in recent Pub-Watch meetings, the operation was devised to demonstrate that North Wales Police are more than willing to support our local public houses in order to deter those who believe that it is acceptable to bring prohibited substances into licensed premises.
Numerous persons were identified by Juna the talented search-dog and utilising Stop & Search powers, Officers confiscated various quantities of prohibited substances, and those persons will be put before the Court in the very near future.
