North Wales Police are investigating after a 47 year old man was assaulted in a house in Plas Llwyd Terrace, Bangor. The victim is now in a serious condition at a hospital in Stoke.

The incident took place during the late afternoon of Monday 18th December. A 32 year old local man was arrested in connection with the incident and has since been charged with causing actual bodily harm and remanded into custody.

Unfortunately the assaulted man, who lives at Plas Llwyd Terrace was admitted to Ysbyty Gwynedd on Wednesday 20th December as his condition appeared more serious. He was later transferred to Stoke hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Investigating Officer DS Arwel Hughes at Bangor CID said “Sadly the victims condition appears to have deteriorated but he is being cared for by specialist medical staff and his family are with him.

“The victim, Paul Jones who is 47, was assaulted inside his home at about 5pm Monday 18th December and a man subsequently charged but we are eager to trace Mr Jones’s whereabouts from 9am on the Monday morning (December 18th) until he was admitted in Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor at approximately 1.30pm on Wednesday 20th December.

“I’m asking anyone who knows him or recognises the attached photograph, and saw him during this period to contact Police as soon as possible.”
