North Wales Police have appealed for information after a number of properties and vehicles in Bangor have been damaged by graffiti.
During the last seven days, a considerable number of criminal damage incidents, in the form of “Graffiti” has plagued Bangor. Private property, business properties, bus stops and personal vehicles of the residents of the city have been aimlessly targeted.
Offences have occurred during the early hours, with offenders wearing face coverings. The cost and time for cleaning will be significant.
Gwynedd North Inspector Ian Roberts said: “City Council, Local Authority and Police are working tirelessly to regenerate Bangor City, secure funding where available and enforcing the public space protection order. These images are only a small sample of the damage caused. This mindless damage takes valuable time away from noteworthy work, creating the wrong impression of Bangor. Someone knows who is responsible and I urged residents to help us bring the offenders to justice.”
Police officers are now backtracking days’ worth of public and private CCTV to identify the suspects. Police will also use powers under stop and search and use plain clothes officers during the early hours until those responsible arrested.
If you note any suspicious activity, travel to or home from work during the early hours and have DASH cam footage please contact North Wales Police. Alternatively if you have private CCTV, specifically in the Coed Mawr area.
