Planning has been approved to build a new 139 sqm (1,500 sqft) retail unit at Land adjacent to Topps Tiles, on Cyttir Lane, off Caernarfon Road in Bangor.
The planning permission is for a flexible A1/A3 usage, which would allow retail/convenience or café use and would allow either to be implemented upon occupation.
It’s understood that terms have been agreed with a national retailer, although it’s not known at this stage which store format they will choose to install at the unit and whether this is more aligned to an A1 convenience or A3 café use. The flexible use class also allows this operator to adapt the unit format within the first ten years to operate under either A1 or A3.
The hours of operation will be:
• Monday – Friday: 06:00-20:00
• Saturday: 06:00-20:00
• Sunday: 08:00-18:00
The new unit will extend to 5.14m in height at the tallest point. It will have a useable floor space of approximately 139.3sqm and be single storey.
Vehicular access to the site is provided from Cyttir Lane which connects to Caernarfon Road to the west of the site. Where possible the existing access and car parking will be retained as much as possible.
