Planning permission has been approved for a Takeaway at the former Shoe Zone on Bangor High Street.
This application sees full planning permission and listed building consent for the change of use of the ground floor unit at 256 High Street from retail (Class A1) to a takeaway (Class A3), and the conversion of the upper floors to create one residential dwelling with a new wall and entrance door off York Place.
At this stage it isn’t known what the Takeaway will be or when it will open.
In other planning, a coffee shop to be called ‘Phoenix Cafe’ at 49 Bangor High Street has also been approved.
The property used to be the home of Derek’s Car & Light Commercial Vehicles and more recently a fitness centre.
