Bangor-born Nathan Broadhead has been included in the Wales squad for upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Croatia and Latvia.
The 24-year-old was a regular for Wales at youth level, and he will be looking for his first senior cap. Broadhead was called up to the full squad after helping Sunderland to League One promotion last summer, but then had to withdraw due to injury.
He’s made an instant impact since arriving at Ipswich Town from Everton in a £1.5m move in January, providing four goals and two assists from an inside left forward role.
Having qualified for the finals of the last two UEFA EURO tournaments and the last World Cup, Cymru open their Group D campaign away to Croatia on Saturday, 25 March in Split before Latvia are the visitors to the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday, 28 March.
Rob Page’s side will also take on Turkey and Armenia with the top two places qualifying automatically for the finals that will take place in Germany in the summer of 2024.
