High pressure is about to return to Wales this week until the end of June, bringing fine and settled weather with sunshine and high temperatures.
Thursday and Friday will feel fresher, and chilly by night. There will be plenty of sunshine by day though, and it will start to become much warmer on Saturday.
Temperatures will increase gradually over the weekend, soaring into the mid to high 20s and possibly 30°C in some places next week.
The Met Office long-range weather forecast states: “During the last week of the month dry, fine and sometimes very warm weather is expected to continue in southern and central parts and this fine, settled weather is also expected for much of the week across northern parts of the country too.
“However, from time to time conditions will become unsettled and generally cooler in the northwest with short-lived spells of rain or showers possible along with stronger winds.”
Met Office meteorologist Martin Bowles added: “There is a general feel that temperatures will remain above average through the rest of the month.”
