A man has been arrested by North Wales Police after threatening to “blow up” Bangor police station and run over people with a car.

 

 

Police received the message on Twitter last night, Tuesday 30 March, after they posted advice on how to secure social media accounts.

The man, with a user name of  ‘Peter’ said he had “all the equipment ready” and taunted police by saying “stop me if you can”.

Hours later Police posted on Twitter that a male had been arrested in connection with the incident.

Police said: “Please be aware that this male has been arrested for this post.

“Comments such as these will not be tolerated and will be dealt with appropriately.”

The Twitter account that made the threat has now been suspended.
