Bangor Rugby Club are to go ahead with a major refurbishment of the club house thanks to successful grant applications made this year.
Grants totalling £48,000 will allow the club to refurbish the bar area, the Ladies and Gents toilets and to provide new Kitchen equipment.
The club were successful in three grant applications to fund the work:
- Welsh Rugby Union £15,000
- Cory Environmental Trust £23,373
- Cyngor Gwynedd £10,000
- Total £48,373
The work will commence at the beginning of January and be completed early in February. Once the work is completed it is hoped the local community will make more use of the club as the improvements will provide an excellent facility for various different functions and events and will be available every day with plenty of convenient free parking.
The main club room has a bar and dance floor which can cater for functions of up to 220 people, including Weddings, Birthdays, Seminars, Conferences and Functions, Buffets/Dinners, Discos/Entertainment, Food and drink can be provided.
