The former post office on Deiniol Road in Bangor is up for sale by auction.
Agents, Auction House North Wales, describe the building as “truly iconic and unique period building” which is now ready for its next project.
Built in 1909 the building remained as a Post Office until 2008, when the post office relocated to Bangor High Street. The building was converted into ‘Embassy’ nightclub, later called ‘Revive’ but has now been empty for several years.
The full front of the building is Grade II Listed to keep the beautiful period features of this once main Counters District Office for Royal Mail of North Wales.
According to the agents, the building has had plans put in place but not yet submitted for planning to be developed into a bar, restaurant and club complex as well as a private medical centre.
“The scope this building offers is huge, (subject to planning) it could be an apartment complex, student accommodation, hotel, office space and much much more” – the agents concluded.
The auction will take place online on 6 November 2023, with a guide price of £550,000.
