A group of staff members from the Bangor branch of HSBC and their children gave back to their local community by organising a litter pick at a popular footpath in Maesgeirchen.
3 full bags of litter was collected and the footpath looks much nicer now for walkers who use it.
Organiser and resident of Maesgeirchen Claire Painter said ” At HSBC we pride ourselves on Communities and people and it was a pleasure to give this small part of Bangor a clean.
“I would like to thank the staff members and young people involved”.
Local councillor Nigel Pickavance said: “This lovely token is appreciated by the Community of Maesgeirchen and we thank everyone involved.”
A spokesperson from HSBC said: “HSBC have a long history of encouraging our employees to volunteer their time and expertise to a range of different causes.
“A total of 257,000 working hours were spent volunteering with community projects in 2019.
“As well as benefiting the communities we serve, volunteering can bring great personal rewards – enabling people to build connections, develop new skills, and gain a fresh perspective.”
