The Deiniol Shopping Centre in Bangor has been sold for £1.37million at an auction held at The Berkeley Hotel, in Knightsbridge, London, earlier this week.
The Shopping Centre on Bangor High Street, comprises 27 shop units which link to a 123 space car park. There are more than 20 firms currently trading in the shopping centre and the current total gross rents are £436,736 p.a. Tenants include Specsavers, Vodafone, Iceland, EE, Card Factory and Carphone Warehouse.
The 52,000 sq ft site was on the market with commercial agents Allsop at a bargain guide price of £300,000, but the agents have not commented on who has purchased the retail centre.
Prior to the auction a spokesman from the agent Allsop, told North Wales Live: “We have already had a lot of interest, both from local and national operators, some of them well known.
“There has been interest in the site for future redevelopment but others looking to come in, roll up their sleeves and continue the centre as it is, potentially adding extra tenants as they go along. They want the challenge and can see the potential.”
