Following the popular Nathan Broadhead mural on Sackville Road in Bangor, a new artwork has now been painted in Hirael.

Children and young people of Bangor created the brilliant mural, with the amazing artist Andy Birch Dime One.

Bangor Neighbourhood Policing team have worked closely PACT  and Crimebeat, in collaboration with Gwynedd Youth Service, Bangor City Council, and Gwynedd Council, and secured funding to commission the mural.

The building (the rear of Bangor City Bowls Club) had previously been subject of damage and become featureless.

Project lead, PCSO Julie Broadhead said “I wish to sincerely thank our partners, and the young people and residents of Hirael for coming out and helping.

“This is the third project we have completed in the district following from ‘Gareth Bale’ in Caernarfon.  Our intention is to sell our wonderful city through the power of art.

“With special thanks to Byw’n Iach and Bangor City Bowls Club for the use of the building.”
