Burger King look set to open a restaurant in the centre of Bangor. The fast-food giant saw its outlet in the city centre close back in 2020.
The site at Menai Centre closed when the franchisee went into administration and a number of workers made redundant.
But now it looks like the fast-food giant is making a return. The company says it has a new restaurant opening in Bangor and is currently recruiting staff.
Several vacancies have been advertised, including a restaurant manager, assistant manager and restaurant assistants.
The address is listed as Garth Road, Bangor, which is the address of the previous restaurant. The chain also has a site at ‘One Stop Services’ Llandegai, just off the A55 on the outskirts of Bangor.
On the recruitment page, Burger King said: “We are ambitious, growing fast and looking for people to join the BKUK story.”
Last month the brand said it wanted to open 200 more restaurants in the UK over the next five years. The fast-food chain said that it already has “good visibility” regarding a “pipeline of future restaurant openings”, aiming for completion by 2026.
It made the announcement as it reported a 68% increase in revenues to £211.7m, with like-for-like sales up by 46% during 2021.
