A biker was stopped on the A55 near Bangor after deciding to have a “ride out” from Chester.

Police said the rider was reported for the unnecessary journey, and for not displaying L plates.

The government’s guidance on social distancing in relation to COVID-19 says that people should avoid travelling unless it is essential.

People must remain in their primary residence. Not taking these steps puts additional pressure on communities and services that are already at risk.

North Wales and Cheshire Alliance Armed Policing Unit Tweeted: “Thanks to the majority of people heeding the advice. There is a small minority not complying. Rider of this bike was stopped A55 Bangor after deciding to have a “ride out” from Chester. Reported for not displaying L plates and unnecessary journey #StayatHome”
