Local Facebook group Bangor Ska N Soul has raised over £600 to support the Canolfan Abbey Road Centre in Bangor.
Canolfan Abbey Road supports better mental health by offering a variety of activities for wellbeing and creativity that are proven to support and manage better mental health.
They also offer counselling, complimentary therapies, support for dependency and a variety of therapeutic approaches.
The money has been raised by selling Ska and Soul themed merchandise through the popular Facebook group.
Group organiser Michael Williams said: “Following it’s first year on Facebook, we thought that we could help out in the community, so I arranged a meet up with Fiona at Abbey Road Centre.
“My idea was to create a badge with the anarchy punk sign and the northern soul fist with the words skaNsoul punk for mental health.
“It was my intention to sell 100 badges and 20 of these were ltd edition yellow background colours and the original white background too .
“They actually flew out and we had people selling them in workplaces. We made around £150 and Abbey Road were extremely grateful of course.
“We are now thinking of other things that we can do to help such an important cause, and we’ve given several mugs, t-shirts etc to raffles in the community.
“We are at present selling stickers and badges packs which are available from myself, and all proceeds are donated to Abbey Road.
“New ventures on the horizon with the get togethers are proving very successful and long may it continue.”
