The annual Bangor 10k & Half Marathon will take place next Saturday, 7th October 2017.

This race starts and finishes in the city centre near the clock, and goes out to the coastline, into the scenic Penrhyn Castle Estate on the way back the competitors will run the length of Garth Pier over the Menai Strait, taking in views of Anglesey, Snowdonia and the surrounding North Wales coastline, then back to the finish in the city centre.

Hundreds of local runners will be taking part, as well as competitors from all over North Wales and further afield, including competitors from Stoke, Wolverhampton, Liverpool, Blackpool and Plymouth.

The race which is hosted by ‘Run Wales’ starts at 10am by the clock, for both the 10k and Half marathon. There will be a T-Shirt and medal for all runners to collect at the finish and a Presentation of prizes which will be made at 11am (10K) & 12.30pm (Half Marathon).

The event will also feature a ‘Fun Run’ for Children, which starts at 9.15am, from the clock to the Skerries and back, approx 1/2 mile, entry for the Fun Run is on the day and the cost is £3 with a medal for all finishers.
