Bangor Comrades have now announced all the artists who appear on their Comradiation digital album ‘ Abbey Road’ to be released on Friday, 3 December.

The project aims to raise funds for the city’s Abbey Road Centre, a mental health resource and drop-in Centre which the Comrades have supported before through the sale of their unique branded football shirts.

 
The release date is a ‘Bandcamp Friday’ where the platform waives its fees, meaning that 100% of money paid on the day will go straight to the Centre. The digital album features fourteen tracks, some of which have been recorded especially for the project. It will cost £10. Here’s a who’s who –
 
Hen Wlad Fy Mamau – Spin-off project from legendary Welsh band Yr Anrhefn.
 
Cane Toads – Veteran Bangor trio playing fiery blues and roots, who’ve kept their edge throughout a distinguished career.
 
Yr Ods – Leading contemporary Welsh band , acclaimed across the media, who’ve played Glastonbury…twice…
 
Tal Jones – Solo singer, instrumentalist, writer and producer with an ear for a hook.
 
Craith – New project by Bangor mainstay Alan Holmes, artist Pete Jones and JUMP frontman, John Dexter Jones.
 
Freya Sofía – Acoustic singer songwriter based in the Bangor area who blends Classical and Latin stylings into her haunting songs.
 
Steve Eaves a Rhai Pobl – Poet, singer, songwriter, and hugely respected figure in the Welsh music landscape.
 
Lleuwen Steffan – Singer and composer, fusing jazz, folk and more, to create her own distinctive sound.    
 
Pulco – Prolific songwriter who skilfully documents day to day life in hugely engaging fashion.
 
Yucatan – Peerless purveyors of Welsh pop rock abstract impressionism.
 
Cut 72 – The latest Cut project from Bangor’s post-industrial rhythm maestro Gary Cut, following on from Cut Tunes in the 1980s and Cut 23 in the 1990s.
 
Fflaps – Bangor post-punks from the late 80s and early 90s who toured Europe extensively and recorded two John Peel sessions.
 
Skrits – Young Bangor punks with razor sharp wit and complete disregard for mainstream attitudes.
 
Yr Anrhefn – Perhaps one of the most successful and influential Welsh bands ever formed.
