Bangor City Council has approved a budget of £50,000 to improve the playgrounds in the City.
Despite the fact that the playgrounds are owned by Cyngor Gwynedd, the City Council feels there is a need to undertake work that Gwynedd Council doesn’t have funding for.
A statement from Bangor City Council said: “Bangor City Council is delighted to announce that it has approved a budget of £50,000 to improve the play parks of the City.”
The City Director, Martin Hanks, added: “While these parks are actually owned by Cyngor Gwynedd, the City Council feels there is a need to undertake work that, quite honestly, Gwynedd does not have the funding for. Both Councils will work together to agree on a strategy for this expenditure.”
