Bangor 10K & Half Marathon returns on Sunday 31st October 2021, after the event was cancelled in 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This race starts and finishes in the city centre and goes out to the coastline and along the Garth Pier over the Menai Strait taking in views of Anglesey, Snowdonia and the surrounding North Wales coastline, then on to the magnificent Penrhyn castle estate, then back to the finish in the city centre.
The race is part of the ‘Castle series’ which includes the Snowdonia Half Marathon on the 22nd August, the new Caernarfon Half Marathon on 19th September and the St David’s Hospice Conwy Half Marathon on 21st November.
Over 400 runners are expected to take part in the event, with both 10K and Half-Marathon races start at 9:30am.
A Fun Run for Children (entry on the day) will also be held – Route from the clock to Skerries and back, approx.1/2 mile with a 9:00am start time.
The Fun run Cost is £3 with a Medal for all finishers. Open to all ages but organisers ask for children 9 and under to be accompanied by an adult.
