Pontio and FOCUS Wales are proud to present a brand-new music festival, coming to Pontio, Bangor on 23 + 24 October 2026. BANG! festival will see critically acclaimed Sup Pop band The Bug Club, and hotly tipped duo GANS – who Rolling Stone recently described as ‘one of the UK’s most exciting bands’ – headlining the event, with the likes of HMS Morris, Cyn Cwsg, and many more joining the lineup.
Split between two stages – bringing energetic standing gigs to Theatr Bryn Terfel, and seated intimate sets to the Sinema, as well as electro artists in the bar, the weekend will take over Pontio, bringing a true festival vibe to Bangor! The festival will give some of the best in new music and artists from Bangor and the surrounding areas as well as touring acts, a platform to perform at a brand-new and exciting music festival for North Wales.
Supporting the headliner act The Bug Club on Friday 23 October are bands including HMS Morris, Kizzy Crawford, and local acts Malan, Eve Goodman and much more. On Saturday 24 October, local band Cyn Cwsg will support GANS alongside triple harpist Cerys Hafana, MARED, Alffa and many more.

I can’t wait for our audiences and local communities to experience a new music event for Bangor and the area.”

BANG! aims to platform the best in new music from the region, alongside a selection of exciting touring artists. We’re hoping this will be the first edition of many, and that the event can bring the whole music community together.’
BANG! will be held in Pontio, Bangor on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October from 7pm onwards. Tickets will be on sale Thursday 23 July at 10am at pontio.co.uk. Weekend tickets are £40 with single evening tickets £25.
