Local residents, community groups, and sports clubs are invited to take part in the Actif Bangor Hackathon = an exciting new event that will bring people together to shape the future of sport and physical activity in Bangor.
Hosted by StreetGames, in partnership with Bangor City Council, Byw’n Iach, and HWB Dinas Bangor, the event will explore how being active can be made fun, accessible, and inclusive for everyone, particularly for those who face the greatest barriers to participation.
Using the StreetGames Doorstep Sport approach, the Hackathon will focus on creating local opportunities that happen at the right time, in the right place, and for the right people – designed around the real needs of the community.
“Doorstep Sport is all about taking activity to where people are – making it fun, affordable, and welcoming for everyone,” said a StreetGames spokesperson. “We know that when opportunities are shaped around local needs and led by community insight, they have the power to change lives.”
