North Wales Police officers and UK Home Office Immigration Enforcement, made one arrest after visits to several properties around Bangor yesterday. The joint operation also gathered useful intelligence according to police.

Immigration Officers work as part of the Home Office, helping to protect vulnerable people, track immigration offenders, prevent abuse, and uphold immigration law.

Enforcement officers provide vital intelligence to support operations on the ground, investigate organised immigration crime, and stop people from selling smuggled goods or employing illegal workers. They also prevent people from entering the country illegally and people overstaying their visas. They deal swiftly with immigration offences and support the safe removal of illegal migrants from the UK.

District Inspector Jon Aspinall said: “We’ll continue to work together to keep the community safe, and this is just one example of the positive, proactive approach we have towards policing in Bangor.”
